The eSkills Manifesto 2015 is published
The 2015 edition of the eSkills Manifesto, prepared by European Schoolnet and DIGITALEUROPE, has been just published. The publication coincides with the eSkills for jobs 2015 high level conference in Luxembourg which is hosted under the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union. A special guest today will be Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg.
The eSkills Manifesto 2015 outlines the road ahead for Europe to achieve its digital future – from the digital transformation of the economy, to new insights for business and policymakers through big data, to accelerating growth and fostering innovation and competitiveness through eLeadership. Capitalising on digital innovation and disruptive technologies requires that people are equipped with the right ICT competences to take full advantage of the digital society. Therefore, as the authors of the Manifesto highlight, there is a need to examine a number of policy areas in order that Europe may embrace the digital transformation more effectively.
The Manifesto gathers European experts from the public and private sector, policymakers and ICT practitioners, and also includes contributions from the United States and Japan, thus offering valuable cross-cultural insights and best practice.
