Why gender diversity matters in STEM

Why gender diversity matters in STEM

Today, women represent only one third of people working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Internationally, efforts to increase the interest of women in STEM careers have been on the rise, but many questions are yet to be answered about the actual situation of gender diversity in STEM careers.

For the second year, Global Contact is running a survey on the subject, to get some answers about the world of education, employment, work life balance and gender diversity in STEM. To achieve this, your participation is essential.

Express your opinion and complete the Yfactor online survey until 21 July! The survey will only take you 7 to 10 minutes. Your answers will help overcome skills shortages resulting from low gender diversity in STEM. The survey is available in French, English, and Arabic for smartphone, PC, and tablets. Answers from both women and men are welcome.

What do you gain from this? You will be one of the first to receive the survey’s results and have the chance of being interviewed by Yfactor media partners or invited to the Yfactor European Conferences.

Gender diversity is needed to ensure that tomorrow’s inventions and discoveries meet the needs of both men and women. Get involved in the discussion in social media using the hashtags: #Mutationnelles #YFactor #FaiteslaDifference @Mutationelles #yfactor.
