Riga Declaration on e-Skills | e-Skills for Jobs high-level conference
The e-Skills for Jobs high-level conference taking place in Riga, as part of Latvia's presidency of the Council of the European Union, has issued a call-to-action on digital skills and job creation in Europe.
The Riga Declaration on e-Skills has been formulated by the representatives from the public sector, industry, academia, the European Commission, and the other stakeholders that form the e-Skills for Jobs 2015 campaign. The declaration gives e-Skills a central role in Europe’s medium to long-term economic future, and provides 10 essential principles that should be adhered to in order for Europe to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by e-Skills, both economically and socially.
The Riga Declaration on e-Skills is available to view at eskillsforjobs.lv/about-riga-declaration.
If you are a stakeholder in the digital economy, either as a company or an organisation, and wish to support the calls to action of the Riga Declaration, you can endorse it here.
